Tell us your story. What life experiences have impacted your journey? What motivates you? What is your “why"?

I have a loving family and great group of friends that support me. I've also been lucky to have teachers and coaches that believe in me. I feel that God has blessed me and I'm motivated to be the best person, student, and athlete I can be to glorify Him and make others proud.

What role does your faith play in your life and in your sports career?

I know that God has a plan for me and I trust it. When setbacks come I know it's part of the journey to help me become the person He wants me to be. My relationship with Jesus means more than success or any accomplishments.

Do you have a favorite Bible verse? If so, which one and why?

2 Corinthians 12:9

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

This reminds me that even in my lowest moments, Jesus is there with me and has the strength to get me through.

What accomplishment are you most proud of personally and athletically (name one of each)?

Making straight A's makes and showing character in the classroom makes me proud. I strive to be a student-athlete, keep the first word first. My proudest moment as an athlete is being selected to be a USA All-American softball player and getting to play at Devon Park in OK City. That was so awesome!!!

What do you feel sets you apart from your competition and what skills do you currently possess that are your biggest assets?

Discipline and hard work set me apart. I put in many hours of studying and practice that no one else sees. I may fall short on a test or in competition, but I will never be outworked. This mindset is my biggest asset and knowing I'm using all the abilities God has given me.

What skills are you most focused on improving?

I've always been confident but rather quiet and lead by example. As I get older, I hope to get more vocal and be more of a leader by speaking up to motivate others.

Tell us what a typical day or week is like for you:

Early mornings help get my mind ready for the day. Try my best in school and in sports. Spend nights relaxing with family then pray to God to recharge my battery. On the weekends I like a little downtime, but also put in extra work. Always striving to be better.

What are your plans for the future and what is your number one objective for the next year / season?

God willing, I want to play college softball and get a degree then a good job. I'm only in 8th grade so I have a lot to work on but my goal for this season is to finish with all A's and get to play on the Varsity softball team.

What is the biggest challenge you see in achieving your upcoming goal or where could you use help?

Managing Honors classes while playing for one of the biggest high schools in Alabama as an 8th grader will be challenging. I'll need support from those around me to pick me up if I get down and prayers to God for his guidance.

What words of advice do you have for younger athletes that are up and coming?

Jesus loves you no matter what the world thinks about you. Believe in yourself and chase your dreams.

Who was your favorite player growing up or who's style of play do you most admire?

Kendra Falby played college softball at Florida. She taught me that you don't have to be really big and really strong. You can be small and skilled and have a huge impact on the field. God made me the way I am to have a certain role on a team. I know my role and love it!

What one question would you have for your favorite athlete if they were sitting here now?

Can I borrow some of your speed?😄.....She is super fast
