SPORTS: Football, Soccer, Track & Field

Tell us your story. What life experiences have impacted your journey? What motivates you? What is your “why"?

From age 5 I started my journey playing soccer. I have played soccer for 12 years, and my soccer journey has led to the start of my football career. I like to think that soccer has always been my backbone of my football career especially for my kicking experience. Soccer gave me the strength and confidence to pick up a football and put the pads on. Playing high school football has changed my life and has taught me countless life lessons and has taught me habits and qualities any great man must learn. Football has taught me the importance of brotherhood and being a team. Overtime, football slowly became my main sport out of the three and is what I am choosing to push myself to play in college and hopefully even a higher level afterwards. I wouldn’t say i necessarily have “motivators,” I play for my family, but i don’t like motivation a whole lot because motivation can fade, and can leave you. Discipline is what will stay and keep you in check and always be there to make sure you do what you said you were gonna do. You can be motivated sure; but that can fade in a couple minutes. If you have true discipline then it won’t fail you. But my main “why” I do what I do is to make my family proud and to achieve greatness. I have certain things I hold myself too, and expectations and standards I set for myself. My parents don’t expect perfection, and neither do I, but I want to be great, and I will do anything to accomplish something i’ve set my mind too. I have now finished my Senior season in both soccer and football, and am now deeply in the recruiting process with football. Currently holding two offers to play football at the next level but I am not staying satisfied. I am looking for more and looking to still further my Kicking Game in football.

What role does your faith play in your life and in your sports career?

My faith in the Lord is my sole reason behind why I do what i do. Jesus has led me through every trial and triumph and has been there the whole time for me. I credit all i’ve done and all that I am to the Lord most High and recognize that I am nothing without Him and that my true identity lies within Him.

Do you have a favorite Bible verse? If so, which one and why?

Isaiah 53:5 Because it shows the Lords sacrifice and his genuine love for us all.

What accomplishment are you most proud of personally and athletically (name one of each)?

Personally, I am most proud anytime I show others the love of the Lord and tell them about Jesus. Athletically, I believe there is more to be accomplished, but I am proud overall of how I performed specifically my senior season of Football.

What do you feel sets you apart from your competition and what skills do you currently possess that are your biggest assets?

I believe my relentlessness sets me apart. My passion and desire to be greater than my opponents makes me powerful and with that I can do a lot. I think my hard work and dedication are big tools for me, that have allowed me to open many doors of opportunity into my Journey, and has created many paths for me to explore very soon.

What skills are you most focused on improving?

I need to specifically improve minor details in my Kicking game, to allow me to become a better kicker, and achieve something great.

Tell us what a typical day or week is like for you:

A typical week currently in the off-season right now will look pretty looser than in season for football. The workload usually is down now than it would be in the actually season but I am still focusing on maintaining my game and getting better everyday. I’ve been stretching a lot and have been mainly focusing on boosting my strength and speed. I also have been attempting to gain weight to put more power behind the ball for kicking.

What are your plans for the future and what is your number one objective for the next year / season?

I plan on playing football and kicking in college, I am currently undecided on my choice of school at the moment. I will majoring in Sports Management.

What is the biggest challenge you see in achieving your upcoming goal or where could you use help?

I believe that the only challenge is myself. I feel that I can control my destiny and it will be determined by how badly I want to achieve my goal of greatness. If I want it that bad then I will achieve it; if not, then I won’t. Simple as that.

What words of advice do you have for younger athletes that are up and coming?

Trust the Process!!! If you can stick to doing the hard things and push yourself to your absolute limit, you can achieve anything you want to. When practice and hard work meet preparation, Greatness is achieved. So trust the process and find something you’re passionate about and can dedicate yourself too. Whatever that may be in life.

Who was your favorite player growing up or who's style of play do you most admire?

As a kicker, I truly admire Harrison Butker, the Kansas City Chiefs Kicker. I admire his relentlessness and his strive to be better, and mainly his unashamed love for the Lord.

What one question would you have for your favorite athlete if they were sitting here now?

Do u have any regrets and was it worth it?

Is there anything else you would like to share with the community?

I appreciate everyone’s support and those who have believed in me.
